I am currently preparing some blankets, we would like to weave with hand spinning wool from Merino gray the shot, or the 2nd Ceiling with our dyke sheep wool.
The chain is Shetland wool from caren noe, bought a year ago in Tønder.
double weave and I wanted to apply as in the fold.
but ...... decided
all considerations with double-weave just is not.
the wool hooked too much as a warp thread is just natural shetland wool,
is to me too problematic.
and then so many different stock shafts with 8 lifts, .. rather not ..
so I will simply weave twill with a bright edge on one side, and then 2 strips of fabric to sew a blanket in the middle. it's safer.
is also the warp is not very rugged, that test led with yarn leftovers .. because I do not want middle of the project again and again and find broken warp threads start.
so I make myself just plain twill 2 / 2.
and now I'm at the 2nd Aufschären the chain. I do three plaits, so the chain can rear up good. A braid is finished,
but before I took off the chain of warping frame, I marked the windings, so that the second and third are the same length. simply stands there umknotet with wool, where the metal rod inserted in it for the turn.
I know exactly how I wanted the next time warping along the lead.

Then I wrap more yarn on the reel and put it in a controlled .. from long arc on the floor and not directly on the warping frame. well would now spulrahmen a large, as they formerly were, but I did not.
and wrap them back on the warping frame, because managed directly by the shade reel is too tight and also different on the thread that would not be a good chain. It must be wrapped with always the same constant voltage.
