arrival, evening walk
Unfortunately there are no direct flights from Nuremberg to Scandinavia ... This time I had to change trains in Dusseldorf. Depending on the airline and times in Frankfurt, Berlin or Vienna ...
Here they flew anyway yet ... ;-)
If you have little time to get the express train to the city center to offer - in 20 minutes you are at the Arlanda Express from the Stockholm airport railway station. The tickets can be bought at the yellow machines on the platform. More tips can be found here .
This time I had a convenient hotel by the station.
The Comfort Hotel Stockholm on the World Trade Center is at Stockholm relationships okay, I had a small room (long as wide as the bed) with window. When I was a tourist here, I'd probably look for something else. The breakfast was good. Fortunately, there was no problem to stay after the cancellation of flights a few more nights. And as I said it's a prime central location - you can achieve very much on foot, or has the train station, buses and metro outside the front door. Wireless internet is available free of charge.
relaxing I find it The Kungsgatan, Drottninggatan then (ie the first king, then queen street) to go along, then across the bridge to the Reichstag and the next small bridge in the old town Gamla Stan . There is a bit touristy, but you can stroll and enjoy the beautiful water views and great city views. The castle is located there, and you have a beautiful views, including the town hall or Riddarholmen. Here are some impressions of the evening included about 18 clock.
view Riddarholmen:
Here you can see the town hall against the light:
And here is a view in the castle with a sunny sky:
view of the Skeppsholmen Af Chapman , where you can spend the night, she is a guest house :
The following photo is the view from castle about the Strömbron north. are in the background's Department Stores - if you enlarged (click on image) you can see the emblem on the roof of NK :
Central is Sergels Torg , a traffic hub in the business life; found in the vicinity many offices and shops. Striking is the glass obelisk :
little further north, the Stockholm Observatory is pretty on a hill in a park:
This is part of a travel report on a short trip to Stockholm in Spring 2010, details can be found here .
