Shooting Neck Pains Left Side
morning we had a great view of the French Riviera and in Marseille, where we arrived around 7 clock.
We took the shuttle from the ship offered (10 EUR) in the city. The bus stopped near the Stock Exchange near the Old Port (Vieux Port ).
The second largest city in France, I knew just from passing by. Previously she was pretty notorious, but now it is safer there, we felt comfortable.
We have let the old port and the streets there anything affect us and are comfortable then marched towards Notre-Dame de la Garde . Since it was Sunday, most shops were and the roads relatively empty, but you could get a first impression of the city: Marseille we loved.
The landmark Marseilles, which is exposed on a hill worth lying church Notre-Dame de la Garde . In particular, the views of the city, the sea and the region around Marseille is absolutely amazing.
Here is the view of the sea and the Château d'If: are
From the church we the other direction down the mountain on the march. But the smells remind us of hot summer days in Provence.
in a small square, we have taken a break and stows away what we had bought recently in a Boulangerie. Yummy! The French pastries are unique. :-)
Then I went to the coast. There we found a beach where many locals were. There was also something to drink, food and a lifeguard. The sea was refreshing and really good for swimming.
After some sun bathing and swimming, it was then high time to go back. Unfortunately, had we have no meaningful map with (on our return we see ausliegen near the ship which then ...) so we are quite a detour had us running up and miscalculated the time. Taking a bus or a taxi would have been more appropriate. We arrived a little late for the last shuttle, but fortunately had also delayed, so that we could ride more.
This is part of a travel report on my cruise 7 Days Western Mediterranean with the MSC Splendida, details can be found here .
