Villgraten Day 2

This Sunday I was back there. Our goal was the BIG HORN DEGEN 2946 m, in ARNTAL. According to tour description in the book is the starting point of the Unterstalleralm. Unfortunately, it was then, but the road is closed to vehicles. So we had to overcome a 10 km long Extrahatscher to go to Unterstalleralm. But actually not so bad, so we had an opportunity to ausgiebiegen Ratscherle.

Finally we went uphill! First, the picturesque Oberstalleralm and then in open country. The unusual heat and the tunnel of the skins made the ascent at times difficult, but then was that the summit cross in sight and from then on it went on easier!

The descent again asked for a lot of strength in the legs. The snow, powder was initially very good, was called before the very end and difficult to drive to the finals from the pastures are slipping and sliding. The more we enjoyed a good beer afterwards in limestone.
