Transatlantic Cruise The year 2010 was quite strenuous and not very pleasant, even holidays were too short. I would therefore just before the end of a relaxing vacation that did not require time for the organization ahead.
A cruise with as many days at sea is perfect for this!
After some search we found a route that led to a warm, good value for money offered and headed for interesting countries and places:
The trans-Atlantic trip on the Costa Fortuna
of 20 November to 7 December from Italy to Brazil.

indeed already works quickly. The arrival and departure, we have the same booked through the organizer, flights and transfer. At the time, not all cabin categories available. We could have an outside cabin (no balcony, which were fully booked and also much more expensive) back up on the top deck, what class was, of course, great room Large windows and views.
for such a long drive I would think in an inside cabin without windows, I feel uncomfortable. Whosoever hath not worry: Prices for 17 nights including full board were in the inside cabin at 599 EUR per person, or even for the small purse quite affordable.
the crucial factors for the selection of that ship was the stop in Mindelo
. We had already in 1999 the Cape Verde Islands visited, but then failed on the island of São Vicente with this interesting port and cultural city.
Tip:
cruise consultant you have good search options, including on the country.
Some fellow passengers thought it was good, in between times to get back to land under the feet and to drive without interruption to South America. We had no problems. This can also be an argument in their travel planning.

Gradually I will add each day and post comments to it. So here is missing something! I liked it, but from quite cold and windy Europe to drive slowly in the heat. You could tell from day to day, as it was pleasant and sunny.
A few more information:
Internet on the ship is available, mobile phone network and - both very expensive and so perfect, not even to be reached. The recovery is good. :-)
television there was current when we were still close to Europe (I think, to Tenerife), then got canned, from Brazil, there were
DW-TV German-only station. No problem for me and somehow self-evident, but some fellow passengers criticized this
A few general tips:
I had printed out to me before departure on plans of the ports. Along with the maps, which are received on the eve of Costa, and with our guides, we could orient ourselves so very good. Since the vessels do not like waiting, it is important that one can estimate the time it needed to get back to the ship.
